Fall 2018 News

Monday, November 12, 2018

Carroll House residents were thrilled to go on a trolley car ride through our town, Carrollton.  One of the neatest things we got to see on our ride was Carrollton's Prayer Chapel.  It was so pretty and many of the riders didn't even know it existed.  There were stories being told about past experiences during the trip while we drove past places such as homes, churches and school.  We stopped at Sonic for a refreshing beverage then made our way to the local fire station.  There, we were able to visit with Blaze, the fire station's Dalmatian.

When we arrived back at our home, everyone agreed it was a perfect day and a wonderful trip!

September went by so quickly and the leaves are already starting to turn.  The weather has been so great and we all hope that it continues to be just perfect and not get too cold too quickly.

September was full of fun activities.  We had a really special treat last month too; our residents got to take a ride in a trolley car!  Sixteen of our residents and staff members along with our driver, Lonnie Sensenich, traveled around town and made a stop at Sonic for refreshments.  We would like to thank Mayor Mathis for giving us the opportunity for a wonderful trip!

October is a great month for pumpkins, gourds, scarecrows and Halloween!  Speaking of Halloween, we will be inviting the children of our community to come and show off their costumes and get some Halloween treats.  Carroll House residents absolutely love to see all of the kids in their costumes!

October is going to be another full month of activities.  The residents are going to be busy with Halloween activities all month long!  We are also looking forward to having Mayor Mathis come to talk to us about the new swimming pool.  The residents have questions so he offered to come by.  The community is also invited to stop in and listen to him.

Louis Casner will be celebrating his birthday on October 8th.  Happy Birthday, Louis!
